{Who we are}

Jeff Harris: God birthed the idea of Missional Association in the heart of Jeff Harris. Jeff has been the Senior Pastor at Grace Point since 1994 and has had the privilege of seeing the community grow from the very beginning. His passion is equipping believers to be the church wherever they go and he thrives on seeing transformed lives on a daily basis.

Jeff is a graduate of Baylor University and Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently working on his doctorate. He has been married to Jody for 18 years and has four children: Sydney, Connor, Hadley and McKenna. When Jeff isn't at church, he is either hanging out with the family or biking on one of San Antonio's trails.

Steve McNary: After earning his BA in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Psychology and Sociology at Valparaiso University, Steve married Joanne in 1994. They moved to Orlando, FL where he received his Master of Divinity at RTS Orlando. They then headed west to start a new church in Victorville, CA. After building a healthy community, Steve was open (some would call him crazy) to starting something new again and moved his family to San Antonio, TX in the summer of 2007 to start Rockhills Church. Having successfully seen two new starts grow into thriving local bodies, Steve has committed his life to starting new churches and sharing his experiences to help train leaders to reach new people. His interests include, being with his family, 24 Hour Mountain Bike Races, outdoor sports and activities, fishing, enjoying life, and Chicago—WhiteSox, Bears, and pizza. Steve and Joanne live in San Antonio with their daughter.

Janet Slayden: Janet is the Director of The Back Office. Janet’s passion is using her spiritual gifting and business background to help grow God’s kingdom. Janet is a graduate of Baylor University where she received her undergraduate degree in Finance/Financial Services and her MBA. She has over 20 years of business experience. Most recently, Janet has served as the Controller for a group of international real estate companies. She has a strong accounting background, but it is her twelve years serving as a Business Administrator on a local church staff that gave her the depth of understanding and breadth of knowledge in the non-profit arena that she has today. It is through this experience that Janet has come to realize the significant amount of time and resources being spent by church pastors and leaders on administration, rather than ministry. Being gifted with strong business acumen and a burning passion for the local church, Janet is using her experience and expertise to help churches and Christian ministries affordably manage their critical business functions with excellence, freeing leadership up to focus on their calling and expanding God’s kingdom. Janet and her husband, Paul, have been married for 18 years. They have two teenagers, Melissa and Greg. As a family, they enjoy visits to the beach, camping, and doing ministry together. Their future plans include going to Reynosa, Mexico, to help their church build houses for the homeless and an international trip back to Uganda, where Janet and her daughter helped plant a church a few years ago.

{Who we aren't}

We are not another denomination. In fact we span many denominations. We are united in our passion to see people in a relationship with Jesus.

We are not micromanagers. Our goal is to connect and support the vision that God has given for your plant/church, not hijack it and make it ours.

We are not a bank. While we understand funding is a high priority for planters, we’ve realized the value of relational connectivity. Funding can be part of some of our connections, but we are offering much more than that.
